Jarbridge, Nv.

    
   This is quite an interesting area, like going back in time. It is so far north in Nevada, it's almost in Idaho! They actually go by Idaho time.  From the main highway . at Elko, you go west on NV225, for 75 miles. (More info is on Rider Plant.com) on a paved road. We camped at the larger Forest Service Big Cottonwood campground.  Then we drove our ATV's on the gravel roads in the area an to Jarbridge. It is a small town with many services you might need. This was a gold mining town in the 1900s.  After getting the tour, and speaking to the locals,

We headed south, thru town, up out of the valley to the top of the mountain. . Once on top, there were several roads and trails to choose from. This is Big country

Jawbridge has gas, groceries, a post office, Bed and Breakfast, campground and a pay phone booth.
