Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, Knab, Ut

Oct 18, 2011
Coral Pink color, throughout the large, tall, and long sand dunes!  You may ride where you like, but watch out for drop-offs of 20-30ft. The drifts are constantly changing, as is the tall mountain of sand in the middle of the park. We rode up to the peak, as far as we could go, then had to turn the machine, to go down.  The dune riding is smooth and not very dusty.  There are also some nice trails on the edge of the dunes.  You can also ride out 20 miles to some hard, red sandstone waves!  Then you have to find the 15 dinosaur tracks, preserved in a hillside of the rock.  The tracks are 3 toed, 16in long and some baby tracks- 4in long, were along side the bigger ones.  We walked where dinosaurs did millions of years ago! There are other trails out of the park which are fun to explore. We did ride the dunes with regular tires on atvs.
